I was just wondering if there are any Kiters in Rochester that would be willing to join me for a completely fun, no pressure, no holds barred, tearing it up kiting session with... ummm... me and my trainer kite. (I know, I know... but I unfortunately can't afford lessons) Rewards to include not only being single-handedly responsible for creating a new "Kiteboarder Chic" and gaining an adoring, lifelong #1 Fan loyal to the end, but also my humble gratitude and dinner on me. (Hello, dinner with your adoring lifelong #1 fan! Could it get any better?)
Okay, seriously, I'm able to fly it by myself (got the basics), but would really appreciate some company, especially if they knew what they were doing!
Are there any good lakes in the SW part of the state? My little bro lives in Rochester and I think he'd love to get into kitesurfing, but I just didn't think there was anything worth sailing that was nearby. So please leme know where the good water is!
Yeah, you're right. Nothing local. I take my cues from this site, actually, since I don't know any sailors here. However, Pepin would only be a little under an hour away. I only have a 1.1m trainer kite that I'm taking out on soccer fields right now anyway. I figured it was a good place for me to start because of the no-H2O situation.
