Lake Pepin or Rochester Area

Anyone been out on lake Pepin or Kiting around Rochester much this winter. Im looking for some people to go out with from time to time in the area and have been kiting on pepin in the winter for the last few years.

Im going to head out there tommorow if anyone is down

Whiting, you'll find some nice terrain on the west side of Rochester at the western water reservior. Myself and another plan to kite there Monday morning. Call me and leave me your number. Hopefully be getting out by 9am. I am at work till midnight tonight. Pepin has some pooled snow here and there but otherwise is a sheet of thick ice.

I live in Rochester and have also been looking for some fellow Rochester kiters (as well as looking for somewhere near rochester to kite). I could make it out on Monday morning. Where is the reservoir west of town?

To get to the western water reservior...take 19th st NW out of Rochester heading west. Once you cross 60th ave take the plowed road to the reservior parking lot, it will be on your right, about 1/4 of a mile past 60th. Make sure you take the 2nd right as the 1st will bring you to a farm. I believe it is about 2.25 miles past the Cinemagic movie theatre on 19th st nw.

Look on google maps, satelite view. Zoom into 19th st NW to the area between 70th ave and 60th ave. The reservior will not show up on Map setting, it has to be on satelite to be visible.

The wind is going to die early, I am hoping to be there by 7am. Fun place to ride, the terrain, not the actual reservior.
