Snow at Mahtomedi

I just returned from a killer session at Mahtomedi. There was much more snow there than expected. It is about 80% snow for close to 100 yards from shore. Plenty of snow for jumping/landing. It was soft when I left, but I bet most of it makes it into the next colder snap. This is still the place to be for W-NW.

And for those of us with thinner edges (skates, et al) we had a great time just a little further out!

Didn't see any kite-snowboarders, though. I was at Bellaire. Is Mahtomedi further East (and around the bend)? If so, where do you park?

Someone who knows that area, please verify the directions in the "lakes" section. Scott was up there last week and thought they might need some revisions. Any corrections would be welcomed.
