Out from shore, a 1/2 mile, the rollers were huge and I was appropriately humbled in the natural realm. Nice to see so many fellow wind riders enjoying a common passion.

Holly crap that was some serious wind. I'm still on a bit of a high, from all the air time logged. It was great to see everyone again and have our gathering, but it was a bit hard to sociallize when THAT was happening just over the tree line. Plus, hearing was hard with THAT screaming in your ears all the time.

Great fun, thanks to everyone who made it. Lets do it again sometime.

Holy Christmas !! I felt like I was at Padre. Smooth 25-35 and good rollers.

Thanks to everybody for making it a great weekend. By sunday afternoon my ankle was starting to hurt from so many jump landings. I got some good experience ollying to toe, which seems like it could lead to more things... anyhow, point the board toward the kite if you're getting ripped off your edge. Did folks enjoy the huge waves that were lurking about 1/2 mile out?

I might have pics coming my way in a day or two-I'll post if so.

Did anyone by chance get a wind reading for Sat and Sunday? I'm wondering what it was peaking at. Seemed like about 35 mph or so, possibly more.

2 days on the 7 m, during a scheduled kite event. In Minnesota. STrange, and a very welcome circumstance.

I won't try to mention any names, just thanks everybody and good to see you all.

By the way, I left a tall, red ozone pump lying around. If you found one a stray one, please let me know. I can't seem to keep pumps around. Thanks much.

Hey Andi

How do you feel about being the only windsurfer caught on picture between all the kiters?
But despite the old school board it looks like you were going pretty fast. Too bad I couldn't join you for the fun...

Love this shot. Yeah Steve you look great as always....AND this shot captures the clean open faces on the frontside of those waves. You'ld swear that was a coastal flow.

Hey Markus,
I am proud to got caught on the picture! (Thanks to Denis)
Actually I noticed there was not one windsurfer on the video...
We will change this in the future!
The meeting was great fun, thanks to the organizer and especially
Patti and Jim who introduced me to everyone.

Cheers,
Andreas

I love it too Tighe, not because of my fat ass but the water textures amazing.

The light reflecting off the waves within the waves makes the water look like liquid diamond.

Whoooooooooooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
WOW! What an AMAZING two days of riding. I got pummeled hard in the waves during the first 45 minutes of my first session on Sat, but then started to figure it out and had an absolute blast (although still got pummeled at times and drank lots of lake water).

The waves were soooooo much fun to play in on both days. Great to see everyone there (too many to mention) and a special thanks to Bryce?? Who grabbed my board for me when I face planted right out of it and could not get back to it.

Sat night Jodie and I had a great dinner and dark adult style beverage at Carlsona and back for more the next day. Wow.

I apologize if I did not talk to many as the riding was just too nice. I was the tall blond guy on the yellow Cabrinha Switchblade 2 with a large blue board yelling and cheering most of the time on the water. Great to see some kiters and windsurfers playing on the waves!

Hope to have another repeat soon!
Rock on
