I have some gear to clear out of the garage, but (aside from Lakawa classifieds) am unsure where to sell it. There used to be a few good spots for selling kite gear, like Kite Classifieds, but their traffic has really dried up.
So, I thought this would make a good topic:
What resources are people using online to sell windsurfing and kiting gear?

Resources for selling used windsurfing and kiting gear?

If you have any 430 masts or big wave/slalom carbon booms you are looking to unload let me know...had a 430 break the day after the big day up at Superior, likely fall out from the waves...
I have both bought and sold on iwindsurf and have had good experiences every time...though the first short-board i ever bought was shipped from a guy in SF simply in a foil bag with the shipping label slapped on. Somehow it made it to Madison (where I lived at the time) just fine.

How about for buying as well? Windance is a local shop in ‘the gorge’ that usually has a good listing of consignment items available, along with new. The down side is that it is mostly high wind stuff. They say that they update the listings on Fridays but my experience is that it’s not that often. If you want something specific, give them a call and they’ll search their inventory.

Coach I sold some kite gear on Ebay and required Paypal for payment. Worked very well. The bidding system brought in a fair price. UPS shipping is well integrated, also. I was happy with the whole deal, but I'm sure there is always a chance of a deal turning sour. Require Paypal and you are somewhat protected. Only selling to US & Canadian buyers (an Ebay option) will also keep it simpler.
If you use Ebay, set the reserve low to interest buyers. Your bids will be low at first but they will get up there on the last 2 days to a fair price (auctions are 10 days long). Include lots of photos so buyers are well informed, show any repairs, so the end buyer is not surprised.
Bsmith is an Ebay expert. Maybe he has some tips.

Tom is right. Ebay is the place to sell. Beginner stuff sells for more. No or low reserve & good pictures make a huge difference.
I sold my tattered old Aero II 16 in February for $240.00. ...I almost felt guilty. On the flip side, I got very little for a 9M Fuel because I turned away inquiring beginners.

Post a List!
I'm curious to see what you've got for equipment...that doesn't sound right , though. Sailboard gear, that is! How about a list in classifieds? I've had good luck with IWINDSURF, too.
