I agree with the 5th line comment... my chicken loop quick release accidently came undone a few weeks ago when I was launching at S Padre. On my Best bar this meant the kite was ready to just fly away, as there is no other leash and without the chicken loop no way to depower.

Except of course for the 5th line. So I grabbed the 5th leader and depowered while quickly motioning to shore (not easy to do when you are not attached to the kite!) for an assisted landing and things went just fine.

Oh yeah, I should've also checked the chicken loop quick release before launching, it was obviously half undone before I launched and I did not bother to look... operator error!

Anyhoo, without the 5th line I would have had the kite ripped out of my hands blowing along the crowded shallows of the North Flats... not too cool!
