Sunday's Weather

Post by Chip »

I made it down to the swap on Saturday - good to meet you Coach and Tighe, good to see you Randy.

It's really hard coming down to the cities this time of year. Its like we don't even live on the same planet in Duluth. (no nasty comments) I left St. Paul to head north on Sunday at about 5:30PM. It was 86 degrees at the time, I was dodging some pretty nasty looking clouds on 35E while trying to avoid hitting all the folks diving under the overpasses. When I got to my house on Park Point (Duluth) it looked like snow on the ground. There had apparently had quite a bit of hail and it was still standing in the grass. Temperature? 42 degrees! Yes, that 46 degrees difference between MPLS and DULUTH! plus, the trees have no leaves yet. I haven't even considered cutting the grass yet!!!

This big icebox called Lake Superior has its not so nice points.....

If you're looking for sympathy, Chip, SO SORRY!!! Our temps dropped here between 6 and 7 pm from 85 to about 50 also! This time it was not the Duluth Factor...just a cold front. Nancy P.S. My 2 years in Duluth included only about 2 x 80+ degree days!!
