Kiting in Fort Myers Area?

Post by Kevinousdigian »

Have anyone of you kited in fort myers area? Any suggestions?
What about other areas of south florida? Considering a family vacation and wondering if you can go from the expansive beaches in Fort myers.
I realize wind is hit and miss but this wouldn't be a wind trip, just a side benefit.

there is a lot of good riding flat water riding down in fort myers. on the causeway going out to sanibel and captiva you can always find riders on a windy day. really good shallow spot with nice flat water

Ft Meyers Riding

Post by old school »

hi yah

ft meyer isn't bad - but if you get a chance come up to the Tampa Bay area - it rocks!

flat, warm, shallow water - and you can ride there on west or east (really tough to ride an east unless you are on the east side of fl)

if you need info feel free to pm me or post

Check out Lover's Key

I would suggest checking out Lover's Key Beach which is just south of Sanibel between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach.
