Re: night (mare) session at Calhoun

Only one of the green clips? So is it just kind of hanging there from one line? or do you mean one clip for each side? I was told that the 720 res and 60 fps works well. I used those settings once and had good luck with it. I find that these cameras are very touchy as to what settings to use on a cl...

Re: night (mare) session at Calhoun

Drvermin, I have just started using the camrig myself. Do you have any tricks to get the best footage while using it that you have learned along the way? Your video seemed pretty smooth, but that might be youtubes stabilizing feature (works very well). Are you also using an editing program to flip o...

Re: New film coming: "With A Kite"

I wouldn't think it should be hard to find enough people if we all bring someone who is interested in learning the sport.

Re: Tomorrows Conditions

That picture looks deceiving by the way the lines are going out with both of those kites. ha ha. I got out yesterday and was on the board for a little bit. staying close to the tipups that a friend had out in the area I was kiting. Most of the time was spent just boardless flying it and trying to ge...

Re: Tomorrows Conditions

Well earlier today the forecast looked like high winds. Now I look again and see nothing but an average day with not so much. I guess it's another weekend without.

Yes, I believe I did see that video that you are posting (cant view it at work). Well good luck on using yours. I assume the only problems I will have are battery power. I have two batteries. I think ill just leave one plugged in charging in my car while the other is in use.

Tomorrows Conditions

Going into this weekend I am excited to have a full day of kiting with good wind. The frustrations of the sport has me thinking I should be catching some of these night rides (haven't tried yet). I'm hoping that there is some measureable snow tomorrow morning to freshen up the terrain a bit. Has any...

Re: Heavenly Tuesday

Just was curious if Calhoun was supposed to be mostly off limits for kiting? I thought I had read that once, but that may be summer only? Not trying to put anyone on the spot. I also have thought about going there since its such a convenient place to meet up with friends (and get a beer after) :mrgr...

I don't think you can go wrong if you're looking to kite out there. I got a lesson when I was out there a year ago. Amazing views, good wind, and some of the best kiters around.

Night Kiting spot - twin cities

I work very near a Parkers Lake in plymouth (County rd. 6 and Niagra lane). Its been my choice to go for kiting at night for a few different reasons. There is a skating rink that is on the north end of it with very bright spotlights on til late. (i want to say until about 9-10pm, but not confirmed) ...

Re: Can I bust out my skis yet?

I was able to get out on a local city lake the other night also. My first time out on a snowboard, ever! I thought the conditions were good. I was surprised how fast you can get going. What a rush it was! I had problems however staying close to where I started. I ended up having to walk back a coupl...

Lake Ice condition

How are the lakes around the cities? I have a small lake by work here, Parkers. there are a couple small houses towards the edge of the shoreline. Im guessing that the rest of the lake by now is ok? Its a small lake on top of it. Anyone seeing alot of fisherman on the other lakes recently?
